Having had a pleasant experience with the Acwell Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner in the past, when I saw a deal on this range of sheet masks from ACWELL, I immediately looked up the ingredients before eagerly deciding to purchase them through a friend.

[REVIEW] The Ordinary Vitamin C 23% Suspension + 2% HA Spheres

[REVIEW] The Ordinary Vitamin C 23% Suspension + 2% HA Spheres

The Ordinary Vitamin C 23% Suspension + 2% HA Spheres Review:

When talking about anti-aging skincare ingredients, vitamin C is definitely one of the most popular and effective ingredients that we can incorporate in our routine. It is packed with antioxidant, helps with skin ageing, aids in lightening pigmentations as well as overall brightening of the skin complexion.

My first ever vitamin C product was the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop. The reason I chose this product is because I wanted a gentle vitamin C formula to introduce to my skin. After 6 months of using it, I felt like I was ready to move on to a stronger and more potent formula to tackle some pigmentation. And after reading lots of reviews, I decided to choose The Ordinary Vitamin C 23% Suspension for its stable formula and the unbeatable price point.

But a lot of people complained aboout the product’s texture and strong stinging sensation they get from this. Some even reacted badly towards this! So lets see if my experience and opinion as others are the same or not.

[REVIEW] TIAM My Signature C Source

[REVIEW] TIAM My Signature C Source

Tiam My Signature C Source Review:

I have, for nearly 2 years now, been incorporating a vitamin C serum in both my daily and nightly skincare routine. However, the serum(s) that I used only contained a 5% maximum concentration of vitamin C and it was quite expensive for a small amount. I did more research in the blogosphere and finally decided to give this much talked about serum a shot. This baby here contains a 20% concentration of vitamin C and was much cheaper! You don’t have to tell me twice. On the day it arrived, I started using it and have been very happy with the results.

This product used to be known as the O.S.T. C20 serum and Tiam (the company that produces the serum) is part of the Cosrx family. Now, I have a lot of faith in the entire Cosrx products line and so unsurprisingly, this blind faith extended to Tiam as well. I was not disappointed. This faint citrus scented serum has become my favourite part of my skincare routine, not only because I love the smell of oranges but mainly because it has actually helped lighten some of the scarring I had from blemishes around my chin area (the result of being a woman and suffering through hormonal blemishes during that time of the month).

[REVIEW] The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution

[REVIEW] The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution

The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution Review:

What happens when you combine science, environmentalism and effective marketing? Boom, The Ordinary, a name that immediately became household even to people that don’t really care about skincare. That happened not only because their prices are the cheapest on the market but because they make products that actually work. No, The Ordinary didn’t invent new technologies that do magic on your skin. If you quickly google it you will find that there’s other brands with similar products. That’s not the main point though. The point is that The Ordinary made as effective products- if not more effective, for a tiny fraction of the price. In my opinion they are making a revolution. They are proving that skincare can be for everyone. If one brand is really doing a lot to make people’s skin better, that is The Ordinary.

Now jumping to this peel, out of all the actives I’d say AHA and vitamin C are the most well-known. About a year ago, I went through an ”I need actives to function properly” faze. I’m not really proud about it, but as soon as I saw 30% AHA it must’ve taken me less than 2 minutes to buy this peel. The reason is that AHA and BHA (which by the way actually works better on my skin), are known to be effective deep exfoliants that help with fighting acne and for improve the skin’s look.

[REVIEW] The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2%

[REVIEW] The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2%

The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% Review:

I have always wanted to incorporate acid into my skincare routine but I always hesitate because I fear that it may end up causing skin damage instead of improving it. There are way too many precautions when using it that I thought to myself, is it even worth the plunge? But then, my other self won’t stop nagging: you wouldn’t know unless you try!

It goes without telling that in the end, my guts won, otherwise, I wouldn’t be here talking about acid. Truth be told, The Ordinary Lactic Acid is not the first active that I have tried, it’s my second actually. I bought this because I was looking for a milder alternative since I am a little overwhelmed by its bold sister –The Ordinary AHA 30%  BHA 2% Peeling Solution but hey, that’s another story!

Laneige Prefect Renew Regenerator Review:

Approaching my thirties, I am recently having a lot of concern about my skin condition and trying to find some aid from the renowned brand skin care. [REVIEW] The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution

[REVIEW] The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution

The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution Review:

The Ordinary brand has made a huge wave in the skincare industry for its super affordable products, and every skincare addict would own at least one The Ordinary item. I wanted to jump on The Ordinary bandwagon as well (don’t want to miss out on the hype, now do we?), but I was overwhelmed with all of the products! I didn’t even know where to start looking. I did not want to go with the cult favourite just because of the rave.

I wanted to get something that I really need in my routine. So I started evaluating my skin concerns and it seems like I already have the products to address those issues, except for a spot treatment that I have yet to find one that actually works. I don’t exactly have acne problem but of course I do get occassional clogged pores and hormonal breakouts when it is the time of the month. Therefore I decided to jump on The Ordinary bandwagon starting with the Salicylic Acid 2% Solution, which also happens to be my first ever BHA product.

[REVIEW] Pixi Peel & Polish

[REVIEW] Pixi Peel & Polish

Pixi Peel & Polish Review:

After dipping my toe into the world of Pixi Beauty, starting with the cult favourite Pixi Glow Tonic, I became very much interested in trying out more of their products. And the next product that caught my eye was the Pixi Peel & Polish.

Pixi Peel & Polish is a resurfacing concentrate mask, which contains 6% lactic acid, papaya fruit extract and sugar cane extract. It also has tiny granules in it that can act as a gentle physical exfoliator. I’ve stopped using physical exfoliants for a long time, but I was very much interested to incorporate lactic acid into my skincare routine (I have tried glycolic and mandelic acid previously), and this product seems gentle and intriguing enough for me to not to give it a try.

So, do I end up loving this Pixi Peel & Polish, or otherwise? Lets find out.

[REVIEW] The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

[REVIEW] The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Review:

The Ordinary is a relatively new brand that has been creating huge buzz in terms of beauty. If you must know, it is not an Asian brand but is actually Canadian. It is from the Deciem aka The Abnormal Beauty Company. They are known to produce effective products at a very friendly price range.

I don’t know about you but cheap yet effective gets me, every single time. I bought few stuff from the Ordinary and one of which is the Niacinamide 10% + Zince 1% since I realize that I do not own any sebum controlling product apart from oil blotting paper and powder. I’m sure a lot of people is curious about this one, after all, it is one of the products I always get inquiries about!
