[REVIEW] Etude House Monster Oil In Cleansing Water

Etude House Monster Oil In Cleansing Water Review

Etude House Monster Oil In Cleansing Water Review:

Many people prefer micellar cleansers over oil cleansers, but honestly in my case I mostly preferred oil cleansers. Although that said I always liked to have a micellar water on hand for those lazy days or for when I was going away and needed something easy to use. The problem was that I mostly found the Western cleansing waters too drying for me and just generally unpleasant to use, which was why one bottle tended to last a long time because I rarely used it.

When Etude House came out with their new range of Monster micellar waters I was curious to see if I would like a Korean one more than the ones I got here. I actually received a sample from an order, and I felt the Etude House one was much nicer than the ones I get here so I decided to try a big bottle. But instead of ordering the normal one I decided to try the newest one with oil, I felt that the oil might make it work better at removing sunscreen.

One of my issues with micellar water is that I’m never sure if it fully removes sunscreen, so I hoped with the inclusion of oil that it might actually do that better. You could say that I decided to buy this on the spur of a moment, so I actually didn’t know much about it, I just hoped it would be as good as Etude House’s regular monster micellar water.

[REVIEW] Tosowoong Natural Pure Apricot Seed Oil Cleansing Oil

Tosowoong Natural Pure Apricot Seed Oil Cleansing Oil Review

Tosowoong Natural Pure Apricot Seed Oil Cleansing Oil Review:

I’d been using the same oil cleanser for almost a year, and sure it worked perfectly adequately but I couldn’t help but get sick of it. Without really meaning to, I found myself looking around for other oil cleansers, and something different than what I was currently using. I came across this apricot seed oil, and as a fan of apricots I must admit that this cleansing oil looked really appealing.

My Etude House Real Art Moisture Cleansing Oil also contained apricot seed oil, so I thought this might be even better since the apricot seed oil was meant to be 40% of this cleanser. I didn’t see many reviews about this oil, but I decided to give it a try anyway, figuring that with the small and clean ingredient list it would probably be a really lovely cleansing oil to use. Plus, I just really needed a break from my current oil cleanser, sure there was nothing majorly wrong with it, but I wanted to try something different.

Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Cleansing Oil Review

Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Cleansing Oil Review:

Curious about other cleansing oils, when a friend brought this up last year, I was surprised, considering Simple isn’t an Asian brand. But looking at the relatively clean and minimal ingredients list, it left me very intrigued. So when I caught it on sale at a local pharmacy/drugstore, I gave in almost immediately. Read on to see how a British cleansing oil fares in terms of makeup removal!

Etude House Real Art Moisture Cleansing Oil Review

Etude House Real Art Moisture Cleansing Oil Review:

Cleansing oils seemed odd at first to me, the idea of using oil to cleanse your skin just seemed backward or odd. I had first seen this oil cleanser (or an earlier version) in Seoul and I couldn’t quite get my head around it. But at the same time, I became curious about what it would be like to use oil to cleanse skin. Naturally this wasn’t the first oil cleanser I used, but it was the first one that I saw, so, it made sense that at some point I would end up trying this oil cleanser out. Especially when I saw how cheap it was compared to some of the other oil cleansers.

[REVIEW] The Face Shop Oil Specialist Brightening Cleansing Oil with Prune

The Face Shop Oil Specialist Brightening Cleansing Oil with Prune Review

The Face Shop Oil Specialist Brightening Cleansing Oil with Prune Review:

This is the first ever cleansing oil of my life and I got it without checking the reviews or ingredient list whatsoever. I still remember that evening when I got into The Face Shop showroom to get me a decent moisturiser. After getting me a moisturiser, I wandered around and the saleslady introduced the cleansing oil to me.

I believe every girl would understand that situation when you just intended to buy 1 and you ended up buy more than 3. I mean, I believe I am not alone. *feeling guilty to my wallet*There were 3 different kinds of cleansing oils at the time: Pore clean, Deep firming and Brightening. As I needed to brighten my skin tone a bit, I chose the Brightening one.

[REVIEW] KOSE Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil

KOSE Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil Review

KOSE Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil Review:

I don’t know about you but the first Japanese skincare product I heard of was Kose’s cleansing oil. It felt like I accomplished something from my bucket list after I got this one; Even though I chose it only because it’s one if not the most affordable oil cleanser out there (and I’m the thriftiest millennial alive).

Kose’s oils get very mixed reviews, people usually either hate them or completely love them. I thought I’d try my luck with this one. At worst, my acne would get worse (something that happens anyways even if I just drink water from a different glass😒)..

Hada Labo Gokujyun Cleansing Oil Review:

Boasting a short ingredients list and a hefty amount of product at a relatively affordable price, I was quite intrigued with this cleansing oil. So when there was a sale, I immediately decided to pick it up as I generally have had no issues with olive oil-based first cleansers in the past. So, how did it fare?

Klairs Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil Review

Klairs Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil Review:

I admit that I have a mild obsession with cleansing oils… especially cleansing oils which work particularly well for my sensitive yet acne/clog-prone skin. And after quite a lot of hesitance due to the relatively hefty price tag, I gave into the brand hype and got my first Klairs product. But did it live up to its sensitive skin-friendly claims?

Tatcha Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil Review:

A Sephora clerk used this product on me when I asked her to create a daily K-Beauty regiment for me to follow that was 4-5 steps. This was the first step in the regiment, which was for cleansing my skin and removing makeup. It serves as the “double cleanse” step that one takes in a K-Beauty routine. This was one of my favorite items she used on me during the service and I purchased it because I loved the texture and scent.
