[REVIEW] Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream

Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream Review

Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream Review:

Have you ever used a product for the first time and thought, “Yup, this is the one.”? As a beauty enthusiast, I always want to try new things so I don’t typically stick to using the same products over and over again (even if they worked well for my skin). And it doesn’t help that there is seemingly an infinite number of newer and better products to try out there.

But once in a while, you fall in love with a product so much that the fear of missing out on newer products suddenly disappears. That’s what I happened when I first used this Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate.

Why? I’ll tell you the reasons in a bit but for now let’s learn more about the brand and some details about the product.
I’ve been seeing products from Illiyoon every now and again but they didn’t really catch my attention enough to buy them. Perhaps that can be attributed to their boring packaging (there are just so many adorable or chic looking products out there!).

Anyway, it was when I saw Kelly Driscoll’s youtube videos where she discussed how much she loves this cream that I decided to try it out for myself. Fortunately, I saw a smaller size on sale in shopee. I got mine for only $2 for a 70ml tube which is such a steal!

According to what I’ve read, Illiyoon is a part of Amore Pacific which is one of the biggest beauty companies in Korea (also owns Mamonde, Laneige, Innisfree, etc). The brand aims to deliver gentle but deeply nourishing products perfect for those which sensitive skin types. In fact, their products can also be used for babies. Since I have a one year old baby, this is a plus point for me.

[REVIEW] A’PIEU Madecassoside Cica Gel

A’PIEU Madecassoside Cica Gel Review

A’PIEU Madecassoside Cica Gel Review:

As I constantly struggle with hormonal cystic acne, I try not to use heavy creams that are oil based, especially in the summer time. Now that it’s getting warmer in Canada, I am starting to breakout more. I was eagerly looking for a gel cream to not only hydrate but heal my skin, and I came across the A’pieu Madecassoside Cica Gel.

A’pieu is really famous for their Madecassoside line. They have a massive skincare range from toners and ampoules to creams and cleansing foams. I am an avid user of the Madecassoside sun cream and I absolutely adore it, but I’ll save that for another review.

The gel comes in a tub and a tube that are both 50ml. I chose the tube version for sanitary purposes as I don’t like the idea of dipping my fingers in.

Cosrx Balancium Comfort Ceramide Cream Review

Cosrx Balancium Comfort Ceramide Cream Review:

I needed a new product as a moisturizer, since the one I was using was too heavy and made my skin very oily towards the end of the day. Coincidentally, I came across Morgan Stewart’s video where she talked about this product. Since I always trust her recommendations, I decided to place this item into the cart (with bunch of other items).

[REVIEW] MIZON Water Volume EX First Essence Hydra Tox

MIZON Water Volume EX First Essence Hydra Tox Review

MIZON Water Volume EX First Essence Hydra Tox Review:

A quite long product name, isn’t it? Well, the long name clearly states this product’s focus on moisturizing while having watery texture. Personally, I didn’t pay any attention to this product’s full name before buying it. Since this MIZON Water Volume EX First Essence Hydra Tox was on sale while I was window-online-shopping and I ran out of my previous first essence, Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence, I decided to buy this without thinking twice. Typically a woman, really. Tee-hee. It was only after the first usage that I read this product’s claim, which indirectly targets the dry-skin bearers. Oops, did I just make a wrong choice?

[REVIEW] The Saem Natural Daily Original Rose Mask

The Saem Natural Daily Original Rose Mask Review

The Saem Natural Daily Original Rose Mask Review:

I’ll admit that I’ve been totally obsessed with wash off masks this year! And strangely, I’ve been wanting to try floral and rose related ones, because they just sound good? Earlier in the year, I was looking for a new wash off mask and I came across this one. There weren’t many reviews about it, but the fact that it said “daily” and also “moisturizing” made me want it. After all I want a wash off mask that can be used daily, and is also easy to wash off. Of course, it needs to be moisturizing as well!

You can say it was a purchase without any research or planning (I always seem to do this, oops!). I was simply looking for a basic wash off mask that I could use every day. One that wouldn’t cost a lot, or one that wouldn’t be too hard to wash off. Plus when I looked up the mask ingredients, it seemed to have so few ingredients which was another reason I decided to buy it. Read on to see if I regret my latest purchase, or if in the end I liked it.

[REVIEW] Purito Centella Green Level Safe Sun

Purito Centella Green Level Safe Sun Review

Purito Centella Green Level Safe Sun Review:

Purito is a brand that I probably wouldn’t have encountered if it wasn’t for Instagram’s Asian beauty community. Unlike famous brands like Innisfree, Etude House, Tony Moly etc. which have both physical and online stores, I believe Purito products are only available online. Nonetheless, this didn’t stop them from being one of the most loved brands in the community.

Their philosophy is to use clean ingredients to restore the skin barrier. While this is mostly the case for Korean brands, Purito definitely takes this motto by heart. My favorite products from them are from the Green Level line in which all the products have ingredients with an EWG rating of 1-2 (green, hence the name). Basically, these low values of EWG rating means that the ingredients used are non-irritating. This makes the products from this line ideal for sensitive skin types.

Ever since Purito released this sunscreen, I’ve always been intrigued to find out how incredible it is since everyone raves about all the other products from this line. I’ve been using this for a few weeks now so I’m finally ready to drop my verdict.

[REVIEW] Innisfree My Real Squeeze Mask Coconut

Innisfree My Real Squeeze Mask Coconut Review

Innisfree My Real Squeeze Mask Coconut Review:

I don’t think I need to introduce Innisfree, because I think they are a well-known brand that everyone has at least heard of, right? I actually haven’t used too many of their products, but when I’m visiting Seoul, I still like to look around their stores. Their packaging and products look incredibly beautiful, and I’m always tempted to buy and try many things. Anyway, at the end of the year I visited an Innisfree store, wanting to buy sheet masks!

I was especially looking for masks that are different from the varieties I could get from Etude House. Etude House sheet masks are my favorite, if I’m honest. But they don’t have all the varieties and flavors, so as soon as I saw these coconut masks at Innisfree, I had to buy it. After all, I’m a huge fan of coconut – the scent, as a food/drink, etc.

I’ll admit it was a purchase I made without knowing a thing about the ingredients, or anything like that. I did read it was good for dry skin, so I bought two of them to try. Coconut for me is also really nostalgic and makes me think of my childhood, so I really can’t help but fall for coconut related things! I was really hoping this would have a delicious coconut scent/smell, and that I would instantly love it… read on to see what I thought about it.

[REVIEW] Innisfree Ginger Honey Ampoule Skin

Innisfree Ginger Honey Ampoule Skin Review

Innisfree Ginger Honey Ampoule Skin Review:

Innisfree is one of those Korean brands that everyone trusts to have amazing products. Their philosophy is to create products using naturally derived ingredients from the island of Jeju. The brand is famous for their Green Tea and Orchid lines of products (both of which I have tried and love). So when they released their Ginger Honey line, I immediately wanted to get my hands on them.

The one that caught my eye the most is the Innisfree Ginger Honey Ampoule Skin. For those who are not yet familiar with Korean skincare terminologies, an ampoule is a more concentrated version of a serum while skin is another term used for toner.

Being categorized as an ampoule skin, this product serves dual purpose. Unlike a few years ago when the 10-step Korean skincare routine was all the rage, a more simplified routine comprising of multi-purpose products is preferred nowadays. As someone who is obsessed with skincare, I was intrigued to see if this product can help me reduce the number of steps in my routine.
