Mediheal Vita Lightbeam Essential Mask EX Review

Mediheal Vita Lightbeam Essential Mask EX Review:

You may not know this but sheet mask is one of the many beauty product innovations originated in Korea. Allow me not talk about the convenience and joy when you use sheet mask in your skincare routine. You may also know already that the search for a decent sheet mask is as if you are lost in a maze. So many brands and so many products. Tons of them. In that case, sweetheart, you need to listen to your skin. What does it need? My skin’s need is brightening. Therefore, I only focus on masks with brightening ingredients like vitamin C, vitamin E or Niacinamide. I then discover Mediheal. They brand themselves as the sheet mask leader (sounds much credible).

[REVIEW] Natural Pacific Phyto Niacin Whitening Essence

Natural Pacific Phyto Niacin Whitening Essence Review

Natural Pacific Phyto Niacin Whitening Essence Review:

Hello guys! So this holiday I’m trying various product to ‘fix’ my skin due to stress from the exams PLUS that time of the month that I got at early December, and my option fall to this Phyto Niacin Whitening Essence from Natural Pacific because my skin got so bad like the texture was so bumpy, dehydrated and many acne scars remained on my skin. Then I thought it might be good to fix my dehydrated skin first. So the first step is I decided to buy an essence or an ampoule or a serum that will fill up and fix my skin with moisture. I always think that your face will always get better IF you always maintain the moisture. Another factor is this product also claims to lighten acne scars. So I thought it was like killing two birds with one stone!

Then I saw at an online website that held about 40% discount I just didn’t think twice, I must bought it-it was such a good deal though..haha. So I got this around $14, such a good deal right? Natural Pacific is a brand that claims to use natural ingredients to all of their product. Another product that is also trending is the Fresh Herb Serum. But I don’t have so much money to buy all of the essence, so lets try it one by one and prove it in a month whether it works on my skin or not.

[REVIEW] Krave Beauty Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser

Krave Beauty Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser Review

Krave Beauty Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser was purchased by Cosmeperks.

I will be completely honest and admit I hadn’t heard about Krave nor the blogger Liah Yoo until (almost at the same time) two different people told me about it. I was even attracted to the product before I went and investigated the blogger! When I did finally watch her video on the product I didn’t flinch on my wish to try it. Why?

It’s not only the claims of the product (which I’m sure most of you have heard of by now) but mainly because the introductory video starts with “Are you familiar with the words squeaky clean? Well, that’s one thing your skin doesn’t deserve” – and I thank you so much. I know lots of people who have been into skin care know that, but a lot of starters or people who don’t care that much think that squeaky clean is equal to true cleanness. And also her honesty when she said that it doesn’t really smell good… because they didn’t want to add stuff for that. In the end, scent isn’t important if the product is good and the scent isn’t bad, right?

[REVIEW] The Ordinary Buffet

The Ordinary Buffet Review

The Ordinary Buffet Review:

I chanced upon a Youtuber reviewing this skincare brand called The Ordinary. On further search online, it seemed that this Canadian brand has generated quite some buzz. Its low pricing for the products that are so raved and the targeted ingredients used in each of its products got me interested.

The Ordinary is from this company called DECIEM, and is also known as “The Abnormal Beauty Company”. Abnormal? I am not sure what to make of this. Well, yes, for sure the prices for its products from The Ordinary are not that normal. I was hopeful that its products will work abnormally well on my skin, where many had failed.
After falling in love with the Niacinamide 10% + Zinc PCA 1%, I decided to try out its other products and had my eyes on The Buffet.

[REVIEW] VT x BTS Collagen Pact SPF50+ PA+++ | #21

VT x BTS Collagen Pact #21 Review

VT x BTS Collagen Pact #21 Review:

Since June 2017, articles and social media sites were buzzing about the anticipated cosmetics collaboration with unknown brand VT Cosmetics and popular Korean band BTS. Around October, the brand launched two foundation cushion compacts – a black one and a white one, both containing collagen in the formulas. The black compact was targeted for mid-twenties and older skin, while the white compact was for early to mid-twenties. Many were flocking to the black compact, while I gravitated to the white compact after reading translated descriptions of the formulas via the brand’s website.

VT Cosmetics, formerly Vant Cosmetics, originally specialized in oral health. They’ve rebranded themselves as a mid to upper end health and beauty brand offering a range of products to help with overall body health. Celebrity endorsement aside, their compact was the only foundation product I’ve seen that includes collagen in the formula. Because I’m in my mid-twenties, the thought of trying something with collagen in it sounded appealing, as I’ve been encouraged to take care of my skin before it starts changes with age. The special compact was offered in shade, 21, when I purchased it. Since its launch, the brand has introduced a warmer shade, 23 as another option.

[REVIEW] The Ordinary Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate 10%

The Ordinary Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate 10% Review

The Ordinary Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate 10% MAP Review:

Just as any typical Asian girl, I’ve always tried to brighten up my skin tone and keep the hyperpigmentations stay away as fast as possible. To meet the demand, vitamin C serum is produced. Vitamin C has been proven to offer numerous benefits, not only does it help improve your skin tone but it also do well in enhancing your skin natural barrier.

My first ever vitamin C serum is the L-Ascorbic Acid derivative, which is known for its quick effect on your skin and many requirements in terms of keeping it because of the unstability to the normal environment. After using it for a while, I realized that no matter how well I keep it in the fridge and try to use it up as fast as possible, it always oxidized when there was plenty left in the bottle and I had to throw it all away. What I need now is some kind of vitamin C derivatives that is stable in structure, easy to store and yet proves good efficacy. The Ordinary comes up and offers this baby, which completes all my requirements.

[REVIEW] Hanyul Pure Artemisia Watery Calming Fluid

Hanyul Pure Artemisia Watery Calming Fluid Review

Hanyul Pure Artemisia Watery Calming Fluid Review:

Hanyul Pure Artemisia Watery Calming Fluid is a product containing baby mugwort that claims to soothe skin irritations from lack of hydration and moisture. Although the product is watery and light, it works very well to hydrate the skin, especially in a Korean skincare routine when you layer different products of lighter to thicker texture.

Since my skin is easily dehydrated, I was looking for a hydrating product that works well in my skincare routine which involves layering different products to keep my skin moisturized for longer. What I learned from my Korean friends is that it is really helpful to first put on light yet hydrating products before a rich cream to seal in all the moisture. When I saw and tested the Hanyul Pure Artemisia Watery Calming Fluid at the store, I knew it is the perfect product for replenishing hydration back to the skin during drier weather.

[REVIEW] The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG

The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG Review

The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG Review:

I’ve had permanent dark circles under my eyes ever since I can remember. Even in older photos I find from when I was 2 years old, you can still see the circles. It mostly happens because of my bone structure but my skin also has some issues, otherwise, it would’ve been pretty pointless to try anything to reduce dark circles.

I’ve tried multiple vitamins and stuff but I didn’t manage to get rid of the problem. When I first discovered The Ordinary, I just browsed on their website and randomly found this. I had already heard of the difference caffeine solution can make to dark circles and the antioxidant power of EGCG so I found it promising.

[REVIEW] A’pieu Olive Facial Oil Moisture Care

A’pieu Olive Facial Oil Moisture Care Review

A’pieu Olive Facial Oil Moisture Care Review:

I have been using facial oils recently. I find they are a nice way of, mainly, turning a normal cream into a night cream. Also, they allow me to use less moisturizing creams that I otherwise wouldn’t be able to use in the winter – and would eventually go to waste because silly me had already opened them. I also use facial oils as a quick fix when out of the house, and as a sole moisturizer in some cases. And if you’re worried that facial oils aren’t for you just because you have oily skin: that is not necessarily the case. In fact, some oils can be more beneficial than creams!

But we are here to talk about this specific oil. Which I bought firstly because it was inexpensive – and I really wanted to see how good an inexpensive oil can be. And secondly because it was olive oil and I’m Mediterranean so try making me resist that.
