[REVIEW] A’Pieu Glycolic Acid Cream

A’Pieu Glycolic Acid Cream Review

A’Pieu Glycolic Acid Cream Review:

I am somewhat of a control freak when it comes to choosing skincare products. This includes spending countless hours googling relevant reviews before purchasing even something as trivial as a lip balm. This time however was an exception. My previous experiences with A’Pieu products so far have been mostly positive, so when I first stumbled onto A’Pieu Glycolic Acid Cream in my local Asian beauty store, I decided to give it a shot and bought it right away. I was a bit surprised when I didn’t find a lot of reviews for this cream, considering how popular this brand seems to be. This also was my first introduction to a product containing AHA (alpha hydroxy acid). So, how did it go?

[REVIEW] MizuMi Extra Mild Facial Cleanser

MizuMi Extra Mild Facial Cleanser Review

MizuMi Extra Mild Facial Cleanser Review:

While on a trip to Bangkok, I remember just walking through aisles of cosmetics at the drugstore and finding brands I’ve never heard of before, which, as you might’ve guessed, included this brand. Being a natural sceptic, I took note of it but didn’t buy it immediately.

However, when I couldn’t find much reviews online in English (Google Translate can only help so much), I ended up going for it anyway (whatever I could read seemed promising) and purchasing a bottle right before I flew back home the next day. But how did it fare?

[REVIEW] Innisfree Skin Clinic Mask Madecassoside

Innisfree Skin Clinic Mask Madecassoside Review

Innisfree Skin Clinic Mask Madecassoside Review:

The first time I laid eyes on this mask was when I first got into the madecassoside/centella asiatica hype and one of my friends included it in my gift exchange parcel back in April last year.

Safe to say, I liked it enough to order a few more when the official Innisfree website was having a sale, so it’s about time I wrote a proper review on it here to share my views as someone with reactive skin.

[REVIEW] CLIO Dermatory Allantoin Hypoallergenic Moisturizing Emollient

CLIO Dermatory Allantoin Hypoallergenic Moisturizing Emollient Review

Dermatory Allantoin Hypoallergenic Moisturizing Emollient was purchased by Cosmeperks.

Because my skin is dry and dehydrated, I’ve long known that I need some kind of emulsion or emollient in my routine. Honestly, every thing I’ve tried until now hasn’t really done that much for my skin. Which is why I haven’t tried any for a while especially since because I didn’t think I needed one during summer. However, now that it’s autumn I thought it’s a perfect time to start looking for one to use during winter.

At first glance I thought this Dermatory emollient didn’t look any different from any other emulsion I’ve used before and I wondered if it was very similar to the Dr. Jart one, if it was just Clio trying to create a dupe or something similar. However, once I looked at the Dermatory website and saw how it was free of 20 harmful ingredients and that it contained shea butter, allantoin and ceramides I became interested to see how it well it works. According to Dermatory it also should be soothing and help to repair the moisture barrier, well I’ve read that from many products before and few actually seem to live up to that claim. So, from the start I was skeptical and unsure if I could believe those claims yet hopeful, so read on to see if I was disappointed or happy in the end.

[REVIEW] Iunik Beta Glucan Power Moisture Serum

Iunik Beta Glucan Power Moisture Serum Review

Iunik Beta Glucan Power Moisture Serum Review:

Sometimes I wonder if it is me or if is human nature to be self-contradictory.  On one hand we look for value for money, but on the other hand when products seem too inexpensive compared to similar in the range, there are doubts over its efficacy and authenticity.

I chanced upon the brand Iunik and liked its packaging simplicity as well as the reasonable price point.  But really, what brand is this? And for the product claims, the pricing seemed too good to be true. After googling on it, alas with limited information found, I decided to take the plunge anyway.

So this is what I found for sharing – Iunik is from South Korea and a newbie to the (I would say) very saturated skincare industry, having entered only in November 2016.  Its name actually stands for Ideal, Unique, Natural, Ingredients, Know-how.  Although the brand is new, the company apparently has more than 10 years of experience in skin care and cosmetics products, mainly exporting out of South Korea.

It offers quite a number of products and I decided on the Beta Glucan Power Moisture Serum because my dehydrated skin really needs help.

[REVIEW] Leaders Clinic Insolution Vaseline Moisturizing Mask

Leaders Clinic Insolution Vaseline Moisturizing Mask Review

Leaders Clinic Insolution Vaseline Moisturizing Mask Review:

This is the second of the new Vaseline masks from Leaders. I enjoyed the red (nourishing) version enough and gladly when I bought it I also bought this one. This one is moisturizing, and it’s blue (which is less pretty but more accurately similar to Vaseline itself). I use Vaseline literally every day for its repairing abilities. I can tell you right away this mask feels more like Vaseline because of the moisture and skin-repairing part (you’ll see my pores later), and there is not much difference between the two masks. But they are different!

[REVIEW] Skinfood Beauty in a Food Mask Sheet Centella Asiatica

Skinfood Beauty in a Food Mask Sheet Centella Asiatica Review

Skinfood Beauty in a Food Mask Sheet Centella Asiatica Review:

This sheet mask came as a beauty sample with my order when I restocked on some K-Beauty favorites. Previously I had tried Skinfood’s Wash Off Rice Mask and was neutral about it – while it was easy to use, it was hard to tell if it made a difference in my skin or not. My previous experience aside, I was curious about what this sheet mask had to offer.

For those new to the brand, Skinfood is known for its skincare and beauty products that boast creating healthy-looking skin using natural ingredients. Centella Asiatica is an ingredient found in Asia that is used to treat and help troubled skin with soothing properties. Apparently the ingredient is attributed to clearing acne-prone skin, which is appealing for someone like me who experiences the occasional breakout.

[REVIEW] Leaders Clinic Insolution Vaseline Nourishing Mask

Leaders Clinic Insolution Vaseline Nourishing Mask Review

Leaders Clinic Insolution Vaseline Nourishing Mask Review:

This Vaseline mask is everywhere! On the bus commercial, on tv, on Lee Seung Gi’s face… and now on Cosmeperks! Yay!

About this mask, I want to emphasize that it isn’t a mask full of Vaseline: there is some petrolatum and they used tartrazine to color it like Vaseline, but that is… it. But the inventor of Vaseline deeply believed in his product. He ate a spoonful of it every day. He also had a serious disease and spread Vaseline all over his body… and recovered soon!

So, since Vaseline is a caring and repairing product, that’s what I’m expecting of this product! A mask that copies and concentrates the effects of Vaseline.
