[REVIEW] The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2%

The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% Review:

I have always wanted to incorporate acid into my skincare routine but I always hesitate because I fear that it may end up causing skin damage instead of improving it. There are way too many precautions when using it that I thought to myself, is it even worth the plunge? But then, my other self won’t stop nagging: you wouldn’t know unless you try!

It goes without telling that in the end, my guts won, otherwise, I wouldn’t be here talking about acid. Truth be told, The Ordinary Lactic Acid is not the first active that I have tried, it’s my second actually. I bought this because I was looking for a milder alternative since I am a little overwhelmed by its bold sister –The Ordinary AHA 30%  BHA 2% Peeling Solution but hey, that’s another story!

[REVIEW] Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner

[REVIEW] Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner

Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner Review:

One of the skincare steps that I feel has made a lot of difference for my dry skin is definitely the hydrating toner step. And I love using Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner for that purpose.

But of course being a skincare junkie, I couldn’t help but felt intrigued to try out Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner after looking at the short and clean ingredients list (only 8 ingredients!), reading positive reviews all over Instagram, and even the skincare guru Gothamista raved highly about it. And with that gorgeous packaging that is such an eye candy just made me weak in the knee, I simply could not resist getting the toner!

[REVIEW] Tosowoong Green Tea Natural Pure Essence

[REVIEW] Tosowoong Green Tea Natural Pure Essence

Tosowoong Green Tea Natural Pure Essence was purchased by Cosmeperks.

Knowing that green tea plays quite well with my skin, I was keen in incorporating the Tosowoong Green Tea Natural Pure Essence into my routine. While not necessarily a hyped up ingredient, green tea is pretty reliable for its rich source of antioxidants. However, this essence does not only pride itself on just green tea – it also claims to be chock full of enticing ferments! Which, in theory, should be a good thing, right?

[REVIEW] Swanicoco Be More Than Silky Seed Scrub

[REVIEW] Swanicoco Be More Than Silky Seed Scrub

Swanicoco Be More Than Silky Seed Scrub Review:

Be More Than Silky Seed Scrub is the latest of Swanicoco’s new Cleanic S line. Not (yet) hyped, but give it time. Not yet hyped, yes, but I couldn’t find single review of this product online. So, here on Cosmeperks read the review of Swanicoco Cleanic S Be More Than Silky Seed Scrub.

Swanicoco’s products are not the easiest to get if you don’t get to live in countries where they have stores, and also, they sell only on few websites, but I love their products as I had no disappointments with them. Ever.

This product is no exception. Physical exfoliator, seed scrub, but gentle enough even for my rosacea skin. I should never even think about rubbing my face with anything if I don’t want to be red swollen ball the next morning, but somehow I trusted my gut when it comes from Swanicoco. Moreover, they say that this product is actually marketed for sensitive skin.

[REVIEW] Mizon Black Snail All in One Cream

[REVIEW] Mizon Black Snail All in One Cream

Mizon Black Snail All in One Cream Review:

This is another cream I got at the beginning of summer. I needed a night cream which would help me target my skin troubles. Namely, problem skin, acne, acne marks, blemishes and so on. I was conflicted between this Black snail one and the regular All in One Snail Repair Cream, but in the end, I decided on this because I thought it would be more suitable for my skin troubles and needs.

[REVIEW] KLAIRS Midnight Blue Youth Activating Drop

[REVIEW] KLAIRS Midnight Blue Youth Activating Drop

KLAIRS Midnight Blue Youth Activating Drop Review:

As I am hitting this certain age milestone, I am more and more intrigued with the use of the peptides in cosmetics. So, peptides are partial chains of amino acids that create proteins. There are so many of peptides that are very popular as skin care ingredients with dramatic claims of stopping aging processes as the whole, to plump skin, to prevent and to erase wrinkles and so on and on. I am aware of the fact that the elixir of the everlasting youth is still yet to come to this world, but nevertheless, I am amused by the trial (and errors) of the cosmetics in my life. So, peptides are good. Ergo, why not?

Dear, Klairs is the brand of Wish Company Inc. Korea, that owns Wishtrend (web shop), Wishtrade (worldwide distribution of Korean skin care brands) , Wish TV (Youtube channel) and Wishtrend Glam (blog). It targets the market of those with sensitive, troubled, aging skin types. Exactly my kind of group.
This product, Midnight Blue Youth Activating Drop is the first anti-aging product of Dear, Klairs.

[REVIEW] Benton Fermentation Eye Cream

[REVIEW] Benton Fermentation Eye Cream

Benton Fermentation Eye Cream Review:

I first tried this product in samples. Benton is always very generous with the samples, so after receiving my new member sample kit, the 2 products they sent me to review, and the 2 other packages I received by purchasing them myself I had somewhere between 20 and 24 samples of this cream. I don’t know how much product is in each sample, but each sample is enough for me to use 4 times! So I tried it a lot, and then I purchased it.

I wasn’t going to purchase it, honestly, because I can just keep receiving the samples, but my previous eye cream finished and after the incident I had where my eyelashes fell out I didn’t want to risk something new. And let’s face it, Benton is natural, generally good, and is very affordable! So I bought two packs of this, and these are my thoughts after almost finishing the first one!
