[REVIEW] NIOD Flavanone Mud

NIOD Flavanone Mud Review

NIOD Flavanone Mud Review:

I was on the lookout for a mud mask that is strong but at the same time wont dry out my skin. I had my share of coming across mud masks that sucked the moisture out of my skin, and that was not pleasant at all. Some are gentle enough, but didn’t really get the job done.

I kept seeing NIOD Flavanone Mud popping up on Instagram, which definitely has piqued my interest. NIOD (which stands for Non Invasive Options in Dermal Science) is a brand that is under Deceim, the same parent company as The Ordinary. However NIOD’s price range is higher than The Ordinary. So I started reading up online reviews about Flavanone Mud and decided that this mask definitely fit the bill of what I was looking for.

[REVIEW] The SAEM Eco Earth Power Pink Sun Cream SPF50 PA++++

The Saem Eco Earth Power Pink Sun Cream SPF50 PA++++ Review

The Saem Eco Earth Power Pink Sun Cream SPF50 PA++++ Review:

While I don’t have sensitive skin (well not majorly so) I still prefer to find a sunscreen that is mild and soothing and suitable for sensitive skin because my eyes tend to be very sensitive and very easily irritated. This means I generally go for sunscreens with physical filters because I can apply them close to my eyes without irritating them (or having them run into my eyes later in the day). It’s honestly quite hard to find a sunscreen without chemical filters that is SPF50, which is why when I saw The Saem was releasing one that was SPF50 and only contained physical filters I had to try it.

I’ve also read that people who have rosacea should use physical filters, which is also why I prefer to find a sunscreen with them. My rosacea is quite mild, but I think it is important not to aggravate my skin, and so this sunscreen looked quite promising. I also liked the simple design of the tube, and the fact that the sunscreen is meant to be soothing and calming.

The Face Shop Natural Sun Eco Clear Sunscreen Stick SPF50+ PA+++ Review

The Face Shop Natural Sun Eco Clear Sunscreen Stick SPF50+ PA+++ Review:

A couple of months ago, I tried Missha’s new stick sunscreen and I liked it, but it kind of left me wanting for more, so I purchased this one too. Oh, and it’s from the face shop X the Simpson’s collaboration. Hah, totally didn’t notice (definitely the only reason I got this was because I needed something from the collection no matter what)…

[REVIEW] The Face Shop Bubble Bubble Deep Foaming Cleanser

The Face Shop Bubble Bubble Deep Foaming Cleanser Review

The Face Shop Bubble Bubble Deep Foaming Cleanser Review:

When I was a kid, I used to watch my mother washed her face in the morning with the brewed black tea. She said it’s good for the skin and I believe that. Though I don’t do the same habit of washing face with the actual tea now, I almost always use tea-containing facial foam, say: Innisfree Green Tea Pure Cleansing Foam or Missha Frui-Tea Cleansing Foam.

So, when The Face Shop released facial foam line with tea extract, I decided to give it a try. The Bubble Bubble Foaming Cleanser was a new product of The Face Shop (maybe around the mid-2017) and was on 50% sale as promotional price when I bought it. Price is 5000 KRW in Korean stores for 100mL tube. The Bubble Bubble line comes with three different types for different purposes. Pink: the deep cleanser; Green: the mild cleanser gel; and Blue as the moisturizing cleanser. My skin has visible large pores around nose and easily stuck with the blackheads, so I chose the pink one, deep cleanser for my pores.

[REVIEW] Purebess Galactomyces 80 Eye Cream

Purebess Galactomyces 80 Eye Cream Review

Purebess Galactomyces 80 Eye Cream Review:

A lot of people see an eye cream as something that is unnecessary, and I used to think that way in the past as well. However, when I started to use a face cream that I couldn’t use around my eyes I realized that an eye cream was essential. Also the skin around the eyes is very delicate and thin, and so I started to think that applying a normal face cream might be too heavy or irritating to the eyes. Which is why I started to look into different eye creams and I found this Purebess eye cream.

I had never heard of the Purebess brand before and since it had some good reviews I decided that I needed to try a new brand and a new product. The fact that it contains galactomyces which is a ferment, also attracted me to this eye cream. Galactomyces is meant to be good for wrinkles and fine lines which makes it sound excellent for an eye cream!

[REVIEW] The SAEM Healing Tea Garden Tea Tree Cleansing Water

The SAEM Healing Tea Garden Tea Tree Cleansing Water Review

The SAEM Healing Tea Garden Tea Tree Cleansing Water Review:

When I ran out of my makeup remover, I was at loss on what to actually buy. There are a lot of cleansing creams and lotions, and even tissues, to choose from! What drew me to The SAEM’s Cleansing Water was the promise of removing even the most stubborn makeup and the claim that you can go straight to bed afterwards. I’ve never been loyal to a cleansing product ever, since I find that they all do their jobs equally well, but then this cleansing water might have changed my mind!

[REVIEW] Skinfood White Dandelion Derma Care Lotion Mask

Skinfood White Dandelion Derma Care Lotion Mask Review

Skinfood White Dandelion Derma Care Lotion Mask was purchased by Cosmeperks.

It took me almost two weeks to find this product because ordering it online alone would be a waste of shipping cost, and in stores it was either sold out or selling in packs of 10. Finally I found it and admired all its greatness! Dandelion is one of the prettiest flowers, and for those of you who are Disney fans: I always feel like Belle for a brief moment when I see these flowers.

I have no idea how dandelion is good for our skin and I didn’t even know there are non-white dandelions, so I guess there is already a lot of things I’m learning thanks to this mask. There are non-white dandelions in Korean language, they are a type of chrysanthemum – I guess that explains the white dandelion mystery.

Skinfood Royal Honey Propolis Enrich Essence was purchased by Cosmeperks.

This is another mouthful-name product that I am going to review. The name is basically a combination of its three key ingredients – Propolis, Royal Jelly and Honey.

[REVIEW] Innisfree Soybean Energy Essence EX

Innisfree Soybean Energy Essence EX Review

Innisfree Soybean Energy Essence EX Review:

I have always been in love with Innisfree. My first foray into the world of Korean skincare products started with Innisfree mainly because I was intrigued with the ingredients they incorporated into their skincare: orchid, green tea, volcanic clusters, seawater, soybean, rice, broccoli, olives…you get the idea. Prior to this, I was a Dermalogica super fan and so a skincare range using natural and everyday “in-my-larder” ingredients was very alien to me.

As Innisfree is definitely cheaper than Dermalogica, I decided to give my wallet a break and opted for this (at that time) very strange concept of “essence” which apparently I was supposed to incorporate into a recommended gazillion step skincare routine.
