[REVIEW] CLIO Dermatory Hypoallergenic Sun Fluid Tinted SPF50+ PA++++

CLIO Dermatory Hypoallergenic Sun Fluid Tinted Review

CLIO Dermatory Hypoallergenic Sun Fluid Tinted Review:

After trying Dermatory’s hypoallergenic emollient (emulsion) I became curious about their other products and when I saw that they had released two new sunscreens with mineral filters I decided to try the tinted out one. As I’ve probably mentioned many times before (oops hehe) I usually prefer mineral filters because the chemical ones make my skin sting/burn and often they somehow seem really oily to me.

Naturally, the problem with mineral ones are that they are so white and make people look like ghosts. Helpfully, Dermatory released two mineral sunscreens – a tinted one and a non-tinted one. Since I haven’t tried a tinted sunscreen before I decided to try the tinted version, I also noticed the ingredient lists are slightly different, with the tinted one having the titanium dioxide slightly higher than the non-tinted one.

Of course, I was worried that the tinted one might be way too dark for me or look odd but I figured it wouldn’t look worse than any bb cream that was too dark for me. Coincidentally, after I ordered this sunscreen I realised it also contained “Thanakha” which is a plant extract from Myanmar used as a sunscreen, it was also in the Secret Key sunscreen I reviewed. I guess Thanakha is an ingredient which is now gaining attention in Korea? Although I don’t think there is much scientific research into it, but it’s still an interesting ingredient to have in the sunscreen.

[REVIEW+SWATCHES] NEW The Face Shop Gelato Tint 05 Brown Bonbon Chocolate

The Face Shop Gelato Tint 05 Brown Bonbon Chocolate Review

The Face Shop Gelato Tint 05 Brown Bonbon Chocolate Review:

No one can deny that The Face Shop is one of the best in making an eye-catching packaging. Their Coca Cola and Apeach collections can prove that and most people I know (including me) are buying their products just because of the packaging only. I’m weak to cute packaging so it’s not weird that once again I purchased their newest release, the Gelato Tint just because of the packaging.

I was browsing for some new products on one of my favorite Korean beauty shops when I saw this lip tint. Let’s say just the advertisement alone already made me want to purchase the whole shades range. They actually made it in an ice cream shape! Who can resist that? The other reason is that it’s almost rare for Face Shop to make a new product (they usually just re-package the product in different packaging) so I’m curious to try it.

The new lip tint, the Gelato Tint is available in 6 shades and some of the shades look so similar to each other so I have a hard time in choosing the most different one. The shades are basically only pinks and corals so in the end I ended up choosing based on the flavor only. They have different flavors such as vanilla, mint, watermelon, chocolate, grape, and mango. So if you don’t know which shade to buy because of the similarity, maybe you can choose according to your favorite flavor.

[REVIEW+SWATCHES] Moonshot Microfit Cushion SPF50+/PA+++ 301 Natural Beige

Moonshot Microfit Cushion SPF50+ PA+++ 301 Natural Beige Review

Moonshot Microfit Cushion SPF50+/PA+++ 301 Natural Beige Review:

Moonshot is a brand I’ve always been interested in due to its chic, sleek and often minimalist aesthetic. If I remember correctly, I first heard of the brand due to its popular Jelly Pots, which were raved about by various beauty bloggers a few years back. However, due to scarcity in local stores (I often prefer to swatch makeup products beforehand) and their products’ often mid-high price tag, I eventually just shrugged the urge off.

However, when a flagship Moonshot store opened up locally and later held a number of products on sale, I decided to give in and ended up getting myself one of their cushions as I was coincidentally running out of base makeup. So, how did the Microfit Cushion – or also known as the “GD/G-Dragon Cushion” hold up in humid climate?

[REVIEW] Clio Nudism Moist Fit Powder Pact 02 Lingerie

Clio Nudism Moist Fit Powder Pact 02 Lingerie Review

Clio Nudism Moist Fit Powder Pact 02 Lingerie Review:

As a girl with a very oily T-zone, to set that area with a powder is a must. My cheeks area has dry patches so mainly I use powder only on the T-zone, chin, a little bit on the outer part of my cheek (just to set the foundation so blush, bronzer, and highlighter can be applied more smoothly), and under eyes area to set my concealer.

I had tried so many powders, from compact powder to loose powder but so far I found that my skin hates loose powder. It’s too drying and emphasis my textures while for compact powder, they are too cakey and I found only one powder that looks good on my skin but unfortunately it’s too expensive and I can’t keep purchasing it.

When I was searching for a good Korean powder (since it’s more affordable and easy to get), I saw Clio has a ‘Moist Powder’ as part of their Nudism collection. I knew Nudism cushion is really popular but I never saw anyone talking about this powder but based on their website, the powder seems to have a moist effect and won’t make skin looks dry. They claim this powder will suit every skin type, even dry skin because it contains essence that gives moisture while it mattifies the skin at the same time. I was really excited to find a powder with a skincare benefit!

They only have 3 shades and from the picture, I’m pretty sure the shades are good for fair to light-medium skin tones. Not rare for a Korean brand but usually Clio has wider shade range so it’s a bit unexpected for them to have 3 shades only.

[REVIEW] Gaondodam Pure All In One Moisturizer

Gaondodam Pure All In One Moisturizer Review

Gaondodam Pure All In One Moisturizer Review:

I got this product last year and it has a surprising amount of product (for a facial cream) and so it took me forever to finish. However, I am writing this review after finishing the whole pot, so you know right away that I liked it “at least enough”. But this brand isn’t that well known nor that appreciated, so even if it’s for general knowledge I think it deserves a review!

[REVIEW] The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA

The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA Review

The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA Review:

Admittedly, I always tend to stray away from most hyped up things in fear of being disappointed and/or underwhelmed. Hence, the main reason why I’m only now offering up a review for one of The Ordinary’s various skincare products; this in particular being a destashed item from my friend as she found it to not work for her (allergic reactions, irritation, etc). Thinking that it’d be worth a try considering my penchant for anything targeting pigmentation issues (arbutin is a well-known skin brightening agent!), I decided to put it to the test. Would the YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary) rule ring true?

[REVIEW+SWATCHES] Etude House Soft Drink Tint OR201 Grapefruit Fantasy

Etude House Soft Drink Tint OR201 Grapefruit Fantasy Review

Etude House Soft Drink Tint OR201 Grapefruit Fantasy Review:

When I saw Etude posting their latest product, the Soft Drink Tint, I thought the packaging is very cute but the color selection is pretty basic and similar to each other. I didn’t plan to get it because of the shades but then I read Ana’s review along with the complete soft drink tint swatches (thanks to her for showing the swatches) so I got to know what the shades will look in real life.

The tint is available in 5 different shades, 4 being bold, vivid colors and the other one is more like a lip topper with a glossy finish. Among those 4 colored shades, I pick the shade Grapefruit Fantasy because it’s more my shade. Actually I wanted to get the red one at first but when I saw how red it was, I changed my mind.

It is summer in Korea so I think this tint is perfect because it has summer vibe and as its name, soft drink is really popular when the weather is hot. As expected, Etude House is one brand that follow the trend and always giving us new products with cute and unexpected packaging.

[REVIEW] New Etude House Soon Jung Moist Relief All In One Gel

Etude House Soon Jung Moist Relief All In One Gel Review

Etude House Soon Jung Moist Relief All In One Gel Review:(Product purchased by Cosmeperks)

Ever since Etude House Soon Jung line was released I tried… virtually everything they have, with the exception of the two latest products (this soothing gel and the sun cream). I didn’t get my hands on the sun cream yet, but this soothing gel has been on and off promotions since release, and I thought since I loved most of the collection, and since I loved the similar Innisfree Ato Soothing gel, then there is a high chance I will love this one too! I do love soothing gels afterall.

[REVIEW] Mamonde All Stay Foundation SPF25 PA++ 13 Porcelain

Mamonde All Stay Foundation SPF25 PA++ 13 Porcelain Review

Mamonde All Stay Foundation SPF25 PA++ 13 Porcelain Review:

Mamonde is one of the most well-known Korean beauty brands internationally. Thanks to their brand ambassador Park Shin Hye years ago, their lip tints were hyped and sold out almost everywhere and their cushions were famous as well. I never tried any of their complexion product so I was intrigued when I heard they launched a new foundation.

All Stay Foundation is the latest foundation from Mamonde and I think they release it last May (I’m not too sure so don’t count me on it). I was browsing and searching for information about this product and from what I found, a lot of Korean beauty bloggers had tried it and their reviews were mix. Some said it was their favorite foundation while others said it wasn’t worth the money.

Regardless of the mix reactions, this foundation was picked by Allure Korea as their foundation of the month so I decided to purchase it and try it myself. One thing I love was they have 6 shades in total which pretty rare for a Korean foundation! Unfortunately while the fairest shade is perfect for my fair complexion, the darkest shade are not deep enough for deeper skin tone. I can say the darkest shade will suit medium-tan skin tone the best.
