[REVIEW] Scinic The Simple Calming Toner pH 5.5

Scinic The Simple Calming Toner Review

Scinic The Simple Calming Toner pH 5.5 was purchased by Cosmeperks.

This is a new product from a brand that honestly receives less love than it should. And after using it I can tell you this toner also receives an underwhelming amount of love, it definitely deserves more!

Scinic isn’t a brand that gets enough recognition, but I hope you will read this and maybe give the brand a shot. It truly is a simple toner and I am more surprised with this toner than I have been with others.

[REVIEW] New 2018 Innisfree Ato Soothing Gel | For Very Dry & Sensitive Skin

Innisfree Ato Soothing Gel Review

Innisfree Ato Soothing Gel was purchased my Cosmeperks.

I was so excited when they released this new collection! I was intrigued by the collection’s Soothing Cream and this soothing gel (I use Nature Republic’s Aloe Soothing Gel and Cactus Soothing Gel religiously – and they happened to finish coincidentally when this came out so yay opportunity!), and when Nigama suggested I try one I jumped right into this one.

I have been using it religiously on my night routine, to soothe from the aggressions of the day, and sometimes in the morning. How is it different than a normal Aloe soothing gel? You may want to check this if you use soothing gel on your face.

[REVIEW] Innisfree Derma Formula Micellar Cleansing Water Fresh

Innisfree Derma Formula Micellar Cleansing Water Fresh Review

Innisfree Derma Formula Micellar Cleansing Water Fresh Review:

I have had the habit of double cleansing since years back, after I switched from a make-up removal cleanser to using micellar cleansing water. I started using micellar cleansing water because I like how gentle it is to the skin. However, it does not seem to address my other skincare needs for oily skin which is why I have a separate cleanser for this.
I was only aware of a particular brand of micellar water all these while and had been using it faithfully. It was only in the recent couple of years or so when I start to learn more keenly about Korean skincare that I realised their skincare regime recommends double cleansing.

So Koreans probably make pretty good micellar water, won’t they? And when I subsequently came across a Youtuber comparing the brand of micellar cleansing water I use against a Korean brand, with the latter containing less chemical ingredients, I made a mental note that I should try out one.

And came this day when I was browsing the shelves in Innisfree when I saw this micellar cleansing water that says “with hyaluronic acid” and “for oily & combination skin”. So although this is not the one that I saw recommended in the Youtube video I mentioned, I decided it may be worth a try based on its label. This derma line was released by Innisfree some time around the 4th quarter of 2017. It has another variant “Moist” that is meant for dry skin.

[REVIEW] CLIO Dermatory Allantoin Hypoallergenic Moisturizing Emollient

CLIO Dermatory Allantoin Hypoallergenic Moisturizing Emollient Review

Dermatory Allantoin Hypoallergenic Moisturizing Emollient was purchased by Cosmeperks.

Because my skin is dry and dehydrated, I’ve long known that I need some kind of emulsion or emollient in my routine. Honestly, every thing I’ve tried until now hasn’t really done that much for my skin. Which is why I haven’t tried any for a while especially since because I didn’t think I needed one during summer. However, now that it’s autumn I thought it’s a perfect time to start looking for one to use during winter.

At first glance I thought this Dermatory emollient didn’t look any different from any other emulsion I’ve used before and I wondered if it was very similar to the Dr. Jart one, if it was just Clio trying to create a dupe or something similar. However, once I looked at the Dermatory website and saw how it was free of 20 harmful ingredients and that it contained shea butter, allantoin and ceramides I became interested to see how it well it works. According to Dermatory it also should be soothing and help to repair the moisture barrier, well I’ve read that from many products before and few actually seem to live up to that claim. So, from the start I was skeptical and unsure if I could believe those claims yet hopeful, so read on to see if I was disappointed or happy in the end.

[REVIEW] New 2017 A’pieu Milky U Oil Serum

A'pieu Milky U Oil Serum Review

A’pieu Milky U Oil Serum was purchased by Cosmeperks.

When Nigama showed me this Milky U serum from A’pieu, I found its simplicity attractive, since I still have the ”teenager” skin. That means that my skin isn’t in need of many fancy ingredients that most products have (and yes, I know, I’ve been totally abusing the fancy ingredients). Lately I’ve noticed how all the products I buy usually contain ingredients that can be to harsh for the skin or are known for their effectiveness.

Of course that’s usually good but I really feel like I’m giving my skin way to much to handle. The truth is that my only problem is acne and the things that can cause it are countless. That’s why I decided to simplify my routine and let my skin breathe for a second.

[REVIEW] New 2017 Etude House Soon Jung Sleeping Pack – Panthensoside 5

Etude House Soon Jung Sleeping Pack - Panthensoside 5 Review

Etude House Soon Jung Sleeping Pack – Panthensoside 5 was purchased by Cosmeperks.

This is the most recent product from the Soon Jung collection by Etude House. Yes, some of you may think “oh but this isn’t new, it’s like two months old” – correct! I got it not long after it came out, and have been using it every every day.

I honestly didn’t know what to count on considering that part of the collection was amazing, one product was just okay, and another one actually wasn’t the nicest on my skin. Regardless, the part that was amazing was so amazing that I still had high hopes and expectations for this baby!

[REVIEW] Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Asiatica 100 Ampoule

Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Asiatica 100 Ampoule Review

Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Asiatica 100 Ampoule Review:

The weather where I live has been shifting dramatically from morning to evening. It can get quite cold and dry in early morning, then in the afternoon, the temperature goes up to over 30 degree Celsius, which is not good for your skin. Moreover, I have just been through a major acne period due to my stress from work. Therefore, I am in good need of some products that can help soothe my skin and improve pigmentation. I searched for ingredients that aid in healing your skin and found Centella Asiatica. Originated and developed by Skin1004 in Korea.

Skin1004 claims to use mainly (and sometimes “only”) raw materials that the skin crave for. Each and every ingredient presented in the products offered by Skin1004 has been selected for being the most gentle and safe for skin. All of the ingredients that merely for texture or scent are left out. At first the brand was well-known for its Zombie Pack, a wash-off mask. Recently, there is a trend of Centella Asiatica ampoule in my country. Everybody is talking about its impressive ingredient list and “magic” efficacy. Being a new skincare junkie, I knew that I could not stay out of this craze. After some research on the website, I decided to buy a bottle and ready for experience.

[REVIEW] New 2017 Skinfood Royal Honey Propolis Enrich Essence

New 2017 Skinfood Royal Honey Propolis Enrich Essence Review

Skinfood Royal Honey Propolis Enrich Essence was purchased by Cosmeperks.

This is another mouthful-name product that I am going to review. The name is basically a combination of its three key ingredients – Propolis, Royal Jelly and Honey.

[REVIEW] Etude House Pure Jelly Multi Balm aka Genie Multi Balm

Etude House Pure Jelly Multi Balm Review

Etude House Pure Jelly Multi Balm was purchased by Cosmeperks.

About two months ago one of our lovely brand released two multifunction products to resolve any skin problem. New from Etude House, Pure Jelly Multi Balm and Pure Drop Multi Oil. These products supposed to be one solution products that can be used from crown to toe to give skin instant moisturizing effect and keep it healthy without feeling sticky. They could be mixed with other products or used alone as well. Sounds very interesting, doesn’t it? One product in your hand to resolve all skin problems, like a genie. “Tell Genie Multi Balm about your skin problems.” Haha!

At first, I was interested with Pure Drop Multi Oil. It should be good to be a topper for my lipstick or lip tint. But after watching a review from Korean Youtuber, I thought Pure Jelly Multi Balm is more recommended and easier to use. I also found that the Multi Balm could be used to fix our eye makeup. So, I turned around and chose the Multi Balm (sorry, Multi Oil!)

Well, now let’s jump to the review and find how genie Multi Balm grant my wish!
