[REVIEW] Etude House UV Double Cut Clear Sun Stick SPF 50+ PA++++

Etude House UV Double Cut Clear Sun Stick SPF 50+ PA++++ Review

Etude House UV Double Cut Clear Sun Stick SPF 50+ PA++++ Review:

I didn’t notice when Etude House posted their UV Double Cut series on their social media account until I watched Law Of The Jungle where Red Velvet’s Seulgi using this product and, yes, I wanted to try it out too. Perfect timing since I needed to buy a new sunscreen at the moment.

So, Etude House UV Double Cut line consists of 3 products which are Fresh Sun Gel SPF 50+ PA++++, Moisture Tone Up Sun Fluid SPF 48 PA+++ and Clear Sun Stick SPF 50+ PA++++. All of them are interesting, though. The Fresh Sun Gel is well marked as the best seller and winner of Marie Claire’s Smart Beauty Award. The Moisture Tone Up Sun Fluid has extra function to brighten up skin tone. And the Clear Sun Stick looks very easy and quick to use.

To be honest, I eliminated the Moisture Tone Up Sun Fluid once I read it highly contains Titanium Dioxide (it tends to, or absolutely will, leave whitecast and I want to avoid that). I did the same for Fresh Sun Gel since it has alcohol in its ingredients list. I know, I sound too picky but I really want a friendly product for my sensitive skin without any whitecast effect, so yeah, the Clear Sun Stick seemed to be the best choice.

[REVIEW] The Saem Eco Earth Power Green Sun Cream SPF50 PA++++

The Saem Eco Earth Power Green Sun Cream SPF50 PA++++ Review

The Saem Eco Earth Power Green Sun Cream SPF50 PA++++ Review:

I’ve been using The Saem’s Pink sun cream for almost a year now, and you can say that while I’ve grown bored of it, it’s still the one sunscreen that I always reach for. Earlier this year when I went to order it, I noticed that The Saem had a couple of different sunscreens, ones that I had never seen before, namely this green sun cream. Naturally, I looked it up and found that the ingredients looked very similar to the pink one.

Because I find the pink one a bit drying in winter, I wondered whether the green version would be more moisturizing and better for winter than the pink version. I decided to try the green version out after noticing that titanium dioxide was higher up in the ingredients list than in the pink version. Mostly I just decided to try it out because I was feeling bored with the pink version of the sunscreen.

[REVIEW] Guerisson 9 Complex Moisture Balancing Cream

Guerisson 9 Complex Moisture Balancing Cream Review

Guerisson 9 Complex Moisture Balancing Cream Review:

Horse oil was one of the ingredients that I never wished to ever use on my skin. However, after using a routine with multiple steps that never seemed to help my skin, I got to the point where I decided to just try horse oil and see if it would help my skin. It felt like I could never find a moisturizer that was heavy enough for my skin, or a routine that actually did something.

So almost a year ago, I decided to reset my routine and so I cut everything out of it except my sunscreen and the Guerisson 9 Complex cream. It was risky, considering I never had tried the cream before and I was replacing a ten-step routine with two items. I expected my skin to look even worse that before, but what surprised me was that my skin looked no worse (and no better) but considering I was only use two items it was still surprising to me.

After that I slowly introduced a few new products, and what I found was that the Guerisson 9 Complex cream was the best cream I had ever used (despite me not wanting to use horse oil… heh). It was actually heavy enough for my skin and perfect, and my skin looked the best it had looked in years. Anyway, so that was the original 9 complex cream. When I was using my second jar of it I looked at the Guerisson website and found out that they had reformulated and the cream and added a new cream to the line-up. I was honestly a bit upset, but also curious to find out about the new cream.

The new Guerisson 9 Complex cream is the one in this review – the Moisture Balancing cream. The other two creams (the original one and the ginseng one) had the formula’s changed slightly although I’m not sure what has been changed. I never intended to try the moisture balancing cream, but as I said I was curious about it, so I looked up to see what was different from the regular one. Well it turned out that instead of just horse oil this one contains five types of ceramides! If that doesn’t sound like heaven for dry and dehydrated skin, I don’t know what would. Plus, I found out this one was designed for dehydrated skin, so honestly it sounded so perfect that I just had to try it out.

[REVIEW] Innisfree Blueberry Rebalancing Cream (New Packaging)

Innisfree Blueberry Rebalancing Cream Review

Innisfree Blueberry Rebalancing Cream Review:

This cream, just like the same line’s cleansing foam, is exactly the same as the previous version, and only the package was updated. As you can see by the package, I have the previous version, but below I’ll post an image of the new version with comparisons for you.

Anyway, this cream, as the name says, aims to rebalance the skin. I really loved the Blueberry cleanser and I have high expectations for this cream too!

[REVIEW] CLIO Dermatory Hypoallergenic Sun Fluid Tinted SPF50+ PA++++

CLIO Dermatory Hypoallergenic Sun Fluid Tinted Review

CLIO Dermatory Hypoallergenic Sun Fluid Tinted Review:

After trying Dermatory’s hypoallergenic emollient (emulsion) I became curious about their other products and when I saw that they had released two new sunscreens with mineral filters I decided to try the tinted out one. As I’ve probably mentioned many times before (oops hehe) I usually prefer mineral filters because the chemical ones make my skin sting/burn and often they somehow seem really oily to me.

Naturally, the problem with mineral ones are that they are so white and make people look like ghosts. Helpfully, Dermatory released two mineral sunscreens – a tinted one and a non-tinted one. Since I haven’t tried a tinted sunscreen before I decided to try the tinted version, I also noticed the ingredient lists are slightly different, with the tinted one having the titanium dioxide slightly higher than the non-tinted one.

Of course, I was worried that the tinted one might be way too dark for me or look odd but I figured it wouldn’t look worse than any bb cream that was too dark for me. Coincidentally, after I ordered this sunscreen I realised it also contained “Thanakha” which is a plant extract from Myanmar used as a sunscreen, it was also in the Secret Key sunscreen I reviewed. I guess Thanakha is an ingredient which is now gaining attention in Korea? Although I don’t think there is much scientific research into it, but it’s still an interesting ingredient to have in the sunscreen.

[REVIEW] Gaondodam Pure All In One Moisturizer

Gaondodam Pure All In One Moisturizer Review

Gaondodam Pure All In One Moisturizer Review:

I got this product last year and it has a surprising amount of product (for a facial cream) and so it took me forever to finish. However, I am writing this review after finishing the whole pot, so you know right away that I liked it “at least enough”. But this brand isn’t that well known nor that appreciated, so even if it’s for general knowledge I think it deserves a review!

[REVIEW] New Etude House Soon Jung Moist Relief All In One Gel

Etude House Soon Jung Moist Relief All In One Gel Review

Etude House Soon Jung Moist Relief All In One Gel Review:(Product purchased by Cosmeperks)

Ever since Etude House Soon Jung line was released I tried… virtually everything they have, with the exception of the two latest products (this soothing gel and the sun cream). I didn’t get my hands on the sun cream yet, but this soothing gel has been on and off promotions since release, and I thought since I loved most of the collection, and since I loved the similar Innisfree Ato Soothing gel, then there is a high chance I will love this one too! I do love soothing gels afterall.

[REVIEW] Bonajour Extreme Spot Serum

Bonajour Extreme Spot Serum Review

Bonajour Extreme Spot Serum Review:

When I first got this serum and started using it I thought it was just a good serum to plump sensitive skin. But then I moved houses and in two days of stress and dust my skin went back 10 years and I got infected stress pimples that, believe me, really hurt. For those two days all I could think is when would I get to unpack this serum – it was my last hope. I find that Bonajour products are simple, healthy and yet effective. So of course I bet my whole skin recovery on this.

[REVIEW] Innisfree Blueberry Rebalancing 5.5 Cleanser (New Packaging)

Innisfree Blueberry Rebalancing 5.5 Cleanser Review

Innisfree Blueberry Rebalancing 5.5 Cleanser Review:

Innisfree is slowly renewing all of its superfood lines. I thought at first they were literally renewing (like, updating the products) but let me tell you beforehand when it comes to the Blueberry line nothing changed except for the design! I have two products from this line so I decided to check the ingredients, and at first in this cleanser the new version’s website ingredients were different!

So after a long messy week I came to know the ingredients on the website were for a future (unreleased) big version of this product. And no, the big version isn’t different, but since it’s big it has “more” blueberry and glycerin and etc, because they are measured by physical amount and not percentage.

With that out of the way, when I first started using this cleanser (actually even when I bought it) I was expecting it to be like a less good version of the Krave Matcha Hemp Hydrating cleanser. I expected it to be “just a foam” that stripped the moisture a little, but with a low pH would be less harmful for the skin. Well, I must say it did surprise me and it’s way better than I thought!
