The Face Shop Blush Pop 03 Nudie Pop Review:
Blush is one of the most staple product in my daily makeup routine. It’s not because I love blush but it’s because without blush, my complexion would look as pale as a zombie. I do have really fair skin and people are saying I look really pale so a pop of flush on my cheek is really appreciated.
Unfortunately, blushes seem to hate me because they won’t stay on my cheeks! I do have combination to oily skin so maybe that’s one of main factor why they wear of so fast. So far a blush that stay on my skin is the one from Colourpop.
Until I saw someone posted this blush on Instagram. They have 5 shades selection and all of them looks really pretty and natural, they even have a n*de shade I really love! With the affordable price and ‘long lasting’ claim, I was sold right at that moment.

The Face Shop Blush Pop 03 Nudie Pop Review:
When it arrived at my place, I didn’t expect its size to be that small. It’s even smaller than a regular single blush from Innisfree and Etude House. Turns out it is indeed small if compared to other brands because this blush only has 3.8g worth of product while Etude has 8g and Innisfree has 5g with similar prices. I have a medium-sized blush brush and it’s even bigger than it.
You can’t find the full ingredients on their website but on the back part of this blush, there’s a sticker and if you open it, you’ll find the complete ingredients list. So far I didn’t see anything harmful on the ingredient but for some people, Mica and Talc maybe are not the best ingredient you can find on a makeup product but they are important for powder product.
There’s nothing special about the outer packaging, it’s made from plastic and the lid feels thick and sturdy but I guess it won’t protect the blush inside because the actual blush feels a little bit too fragile for my liking. My favorite part is that they make a hibiscus flower design on the blush and it’s so pretty and very detailed! I’m pretty sure it’s not only an overspray because the design is still there even after I swipe it over and over. I would give plus point just for the design only.
Among those 5 shades, I choose the shade 03 Nudie Pop. It’s a true n*de shade with warm undertone but no worries, they have a pink and lilac shade with cool undertone so everyone can try this blush. Some colors may look better on fair to medium skin tone but I guess it’s not new from Korean brand to make shades that suit people with lighter complexion only.
The shades range looks like a spring color palette, every color is really beautiful but a true n*de blush is hard to find especially from Korean beauty brand. That’s why I purchase it immediately because I have nothing like that on my collection and while the color is unique, it still looks natural on the cheeks.
When I swatch it for the first time, the blush feels very fragile, like it would be broken if I press it with my finger. It doesn’t break at all but it is so powdery, I can see powders flying around me when I swirl my brush on the blush. Most of the time, a powdery product means they have an amazing pigmentation but I don’t like a strongly pigmented blush. A pigmented blush is harder to blend and doesn’t look good on my skin tone so to be honest it scares me a bit.
I’m happy to say this blush is not that pigmented! It does give me color but the color still look natural and won’t make me look like a clown. I can build the color slowly and it’s very easy to achieve how much color I want to show on my cheeks. The blendability is amazing as well and I need no effort to blend it, I only need a few dabs on my brush and I will get a very natural flush on my pale cheeks without even looking patchy or blotchy.
Face Shop claims the Blush Pop has a mattifying formulation and it’s true, the blush feels very matte when touched but I don’t know if it’s only on this particular shade, but this shade has glitter in it. The sparkles are not too visible but if I look very closely, there are lots of sparkles and it transfers everywhere. I touch my face and I find some gliteer on my fingers. I’m not too fond of the glitter but fortunately it doesn’t emphasis my skin texture.
Since it’s a matte formulation, it can look too drying on dry skins. I have some dry patches on my cheeks and it doesn’t look too smooth but I’d choose a blush that show my dry patches to a blush that show my rough skin texture. I’m sure this blush will look so good on people with oily skin.
What excite me the most is this blush is very long lasting! It stays on my cheeks for more than 4 hours and even after that, I still can see a hint of flush on my skin. I tried it under and on top of makeup and both have satisfying result. Searching for a blush with a good lasting power is a big problem for me but finally I found a blush that won’t fade away after only a few hours. I love this blush so much I wore it for a week straight and so far, beside of its powdery texture and can be too drying, I didn’t find other negative thing from this blush.
For its price, I would say it’s really worth it. I would recommend it for people with oily skin more than dry skin though but it’s not hurt to try! It’s rare for me to find a blush this good so I can see myself buy another one in the future. Everyone who have a hard time to find a long lasting blush, this is the one you should get.
