[REVIEW] The Face Shop Bubble Bubble Deep Foaming Cleanser

The Face Shop Bubble Bubble Deep Foaming Cleanser Review:

When I was a kid, I used to watch my mother washed her face in the morning with the brewed black tea. She said it’s good for the skin and I believe that. Though I don’t do the same habit of washing face with the actual tea now, I almost always use tea-containing facial foam, say: Innisfree Green Tea Pure Cleansing Foam or Missha Frui-Tea Cleansing Foam.

So, when The Face Shop released facial foam line with tea extract, I decided to give it a try. The Bubble Bubble Foaming Cleanser was a new product of The Face Shop (maybe around the mid-2017) and was on 50% sale as promotional price when I bought it. Price is 5000 KRW in Korean stores for 100mL tube. The Bubble Bubble line comes with three different types for different purposes. Pink: the deep cleanser; Green: the mild cleanser gel; and Blue as the moisturizing cleanser. My skin has visible large pores around nose and easily stuck with the blackheads, so I chose the pink one, deep cleanser for my pores.

The Face Shop Bubble Bubble Deep Foaming Cleanser contains black tea extract and claimed to deeply cleanse pores, leaving skin feeling refreshed.

Volume: 100ml

How to use:

1. Basically just like the normal facial foam instruction. Firstly, wash face with lukewarm water to clean some water soluble dirt and make the face wet.

2. Thereafter, dispense a little product on hand and work to make lather. Massage the foam on entire face and rinse.

My Skin Type: normal, not oily but blemish-prone, rather large pores in T-zone including blackheads.

Packaging is very simple but cute, I think it is because of the eye-catching color. The squeezable tube with flip-open cap makes the product easily dispensed and stay hygienic. It’s also quite small so actually okay to bring for travel.

The foam color is white with creamy texture and viscous consistency. The most amazing thing about this product… is the smell! It is not floralor fruit smell but something really fresh and addictive. I’m so in loovveee with the smell and would definitely purchase if The Face Shop release any perfume product with this fragrance.

Anyway, enough for that. The product easily foamed on my hand and unlike the Bubble Bubble name, the foam is not so much bubbly but it’s not a problem. It contains no scrub but sufficiently foams and cleanses my face. I use this deep cleanser for night routine while in the morning I use the milder gel type from Laneige.

I can feel it removes oil and sebum on my face after being outside and commuted in subway for 3 hours a day (sigh). It doesn’t make my skin dry and I feel very fresh afterwards. Maybe due to the smell? Haha.

People with sensitive skin may better try the green one for mild cleansing (with mildly acidic pH) and those with drier skin can try the blue one for moisturizing (contains pu-erh tea extract).

I like this product, especially the amazing smell. I would repurchase if it’s on sale because KRW 5000 is a little too expensive for such a small quantity.

I would recommend this to anyone need deep cleansing type of facial foam, such as those with large pores or having oily face.
