The Face Shop Coca Cola Lip Tint 05 Coke Red Review:
I’m not a fan of The Face Shop since I didn’t get too many positive results from their products (so far I’ve tried their base, cleansing and skincare products). I know they always release collaboration with other famous brands like Disney and Kakao, and this time they collaborated with Coca Cola which I think is very unique and different.
I purchased the cushion just because of the packaging but after I read Cintya’s review of the lip tint, I was tempted to try it as well since my lips and her lips type is a little bit similar. If I’m not mistaken, usually The Face Shop didn’t release a new product for their collaboration so I’m guessing this tint may be one of their older products but packaged in a different packaging.
The collection was sold out almost on every local online seller I found so I had to get it directly from South Korea and it took almost 2 months because of Eid holiday. I hope the quality would be as good as the packaging (and worth the wait).

The Face Shop Coca Cola Lip Tint 05 Coke Red Review:
The Face Shop is really good at making good packaging and most of the time I bought their products just because of that and with this Coca Cola collaboration, it makes the packaging looks thousand times more eye-catching especially for a limited edition collector.
The tint comes in a paper box with a retro yet cute design. The retro vibe matches Coca Cola image really well and you can find almost full information on the box, from claims to full ingredients list which I appreciate.
The bottle is in red with Coca Cola special font on it. On the top part they make it as if the packaging is like a Coca Cola can but taller and slimmer. When you open it, you can see the wand has a candy cane design and I think I would give the packaging itself 5 stars just because it’s very unique.
It has a hint of Coca Cola scent but you have to sniff extra hard to be able to smell that scent. To be honest I prefer sweeter or more fresh scent but it’s just because I love scented-product. This tint has no fragrance on the ingredients so some people may love it for its lack of scent.
The pigmentation is very good, I don’t have to dip for more than once to get the full color but maybe it’s just because of my small lips. But I’m pretty impressed with how the color look on my lips even after only one swipe and to make a gradient lips, I have to apply it very thinly but unfortunately, the applicator makes it impossible.
The doe-foot applicator has a slanted shape but I find it’s too wide for my lips. I have small lips so I have to be careful if I want to apply lip product and when I’m applying this tint, the wide size makes the tint goes everywhere especially on the corner of my lips. I have to swipe the tint first on the side of the bottle to get rid of the excess product or it will be too messy on my lips.
The tint is available in 5 shades and I can say the range shade is pretty good because even though they only have basic shades like beige, pink, red, coral and orange, the tone is different from each other.
I got mine in 05 Coke Red. I want to get the beige shade but from the picture the red one looks better and more pigmented. 05 Coke Red in real life is a true red with warm undertone. It has a hint of pink based but it’s not too obvious. This type of shade can be worn by everyone with various skin tones and it also very wearable as well.
I really recommend to use it as a gradient lips because it has a mousse texture so it’s easy to blend either with finger or a brush. I didn’t use my finger to blend it and I only need to smack my upper and bottom lips for a few times and I will get a good gradient lips.
With its texture, it doesn’t feel slippery or sticky at all and even though it’s great for gradient lips, it doesn’t look too good if you want to use it to achieve full lips look. Maybe it’s because of the pigmentation but when I try to apply it fully on my lips, it looks too much and too thick. It makes my lips look a little bit patchy and uneven especially since I have no precise outline on my lips so it just make my lips look worse.
The tint doesn’t stay that long on my lips but it leaves a pinkish red stain that will last so long! It lasts for 5 to 6 hours I believe which is pretty good for a stain but it does look a little bit patchy. If you want to re-apply the tint, there’s no need to remove the previous layer because it won’t make your lips look dry.
It doesn’t moisturize my lips but it doesn’t make my lips feel dry and it doesn’t emphasis my dry patches either. I love it when a lip tint doesn’t make my lips feel dry because I have so much fine lines and dry parts on my lips. But I’d suggest you to use a good lip balm first or it will make the application not as smooth as it should be.
To remove it, I just used a cleansing wipes or a cleansing water. It’s fairly easy to remove and I don’t have to use a specific remover to erase it completely from my lips.
If only the applicator isn’t that wide, I might give this lip tint a better point but so far I’m satisfied with this tint. Not my favorite lip tint obviously, but for the price you get a special packaging and a good lip tint so it’s definitely worth to try!
