[REVIEW] The Face Shop Disney Mickey Mono Pop Eyes

The Face Shop Disney Mickey Mono Pop Eyes Review:

The whole Disney X The Face Shop collaboration has been in my wish list for more than a year now mostly because of the super cute packaging but also the great reviews these products are receiving. Even though I like the whole collection, I believe this palette is one of the more interesting things in it since in a single palette you get eyeshadows, lip colors and also, a blush! I was mostly attracted to this because I usually do my makeup on the go and hate when I have to carry a lot of things.

This product has 5 Ultra-wear neutral nude eyeshadows and 3 daily lip colors in one palette. You can get 200% use out of one palette! With 5 neutral eye shadows and 3 flattering lip colors, you can mix and match to create diverse daily makeup looks with one palette.

The packaging of this palette is cute and pretty average in terms of durability. The box of it is completely pointless since it slides off easily. I especially like the brush and actually use it with this palette. The mirror also has a great size.

The eyeshadows are great. They’re very pigmented in comparison with other Korean ones except of the 2 very light colors, they’re just average. They are also very long lasting; they don’t stay unchanged but they react nicely with the skin’s pH and create a nice look. Mostly because of the colors, this palette is great for eye contouring and shading but not for creating many different looks. It’s also great for formal occasions.

At first, I expected the lip colors to be have no color payoff and to not last at all but somehow, it’s the exact opposite! Even though they’re creamy, they stay like a lip tint on the lips and they’re also long lasting.

But I still don’t like one thing. As soon as I put the colors on my lips, they become very dry and when I say very dry I really mean it, my lips tend to be wrinkly at times but with this on you could mistake me for a 90 year old person who’s never heard of sunscreen before.. I tried using a Chapstick before applying the colors but still… nothing changes. For now, when I use the colors on my lips I just apply on the very inside of them and lick my lips constantly.

Even though The Face Shop doesn’t say anything about using the lip colors as a blush, I was probably excited about this the most. Thankfully, I wasn’t disappointed. Even though the two red colors are a bit too vivid for daily use, if you apply them before applying makeup they have a very natural feel that I like. The other color is my favorite and it looks completely natural too but in a different way; it feels more grown up.

This is a product that was definitely worth it and it made my daily life a bit easier (so dramatic). But still, I won’t repurchase for 2 main reasons. Firstly, palettes are like magic, they’re somehow always there and you keep using them but you never run out of them; and secondly, there’s so many other palettes I want to try out! Life is short! There’s not enough time to try all the palettes!!!
