[REVIEW] The Face Shop InkGel Eyeliner

The Face Shop InkGel Eyeliner Review:

Hello everyone! Today I will be introducing my holy grail fail proof eyeliners, by The Face Shop. The eyeliners were recommended to me by a friend working at TFS, I tried it out because they claim to be waterproof. They’re only $10 Canadian, I got them on sale for 50% off!

The eyeliners are automatic that includes a mini sharpener on the end. There are 12 different shades, matte and shimmer. I absolutely adore the matte ones and they have performed really well on my waterline. The shades that I got are 01 New York Black (matte), 03 Seattle Brown (matte), 09 Peach Cinnamon (shimmer), 12 Peach Vanilla Syrup (shimmer).

The Face Shop InkGel Eyeliner Review:

I have been using the Marc Jacob’s hi-liner (gel based) for my waterline for a long time, about 6 months now as I couldn’t seem to find a good waterproof one, especially in summer.

I got 01 Black to try out at first, it went on so creamy and smooth, no patching (I could go over my waterline again and again, it would just layer on nicely), and found it to be a great alternative to the Marc Jacobs liner.

It does not flake throughout the day, very very waterproof and comes off easily with an oil based makeup remover. I did not experience any sort of irritation and I have sensitive eyes that are teary all the time, lol!

he matte shades are pigmented and true to color. I use the brown shade as a light shadow to create a cut crease look and it works great as well!

The Face Shop InkGel Eyeliner Review

For the glitter shades, I use them as a shadow, once it sets it does not budge at all! I was actually so surprised that It worked really well especially with the price tag. I’ve been using them every day for 3 weeks now, and I certainly do not regret getting them.

They do not fade on my lids and it’s still there after a good 8-hour wear. They’re also great for highlighting the inner corner of my eyelids as they stay put, unlike some eyeshadows that run if I rub my eyes. The shimmer is relatively fine so there’s no irritation, I’ve experienced pigment shadows getting into my eyes which irritated me so badly (as a contact lens wearer).

If you’re looking for a good waterline liner, try these! They have 12 different shades which I’m tempted to get them all. The claims stated are indeed true.

Highly recommend for people with watery/sensitive eyes, and will repurchase over again. They are so affordable and an actual dupe for the Marc Jacobs hi-liners~
