[REVIEW] The Face Shop Natural Sun Eco Clear Sunscreen Stick SPF50+ PA+++

The Face Shop Natural Sun Eco Clear Sunscreen Stick SPF50+ PA+++ Review:

A couple of months ago, I tried Missha’s new stick sunscreen and I liked it, but it kind of left me wanting for more, so I purchased this one too. Oh, and it’s from the face shop X the Simpson’s collaboration. Hah, totally didn’t notice (definitely the only reason I got this was because I needed something from the collection no matter what)…

– This product has transparent texture and it is not sticky. It also is easy to use.

– It effectively protects the skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays.

– It contains sunflower sprout extract which is supposed to keep the skin “healthy” all day? (Please blame the face shop for this translation. I’d call it hygienic. This extract also helps to maintain the moisture on the skin’s surface as it’s a natural moisturizing factor.

– At a point where it claims to moisturize dry skin. Sounds a bit too narcissistic to me. It’s not like it’s a cream or a sleeping pack; tfs, you don’t have to brag! UV protection is enough for me!!

– It is fast and easy to use with hands free. (Again, not my words, if you get telekinesis by purchasing this, it explains the price). This product is vegan (YAY!!!)

Dicarpyl Carbonate, Octyldodecanol, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Octocrylene, Dextrin Palmitate, Dibutyl Ethylhexanoyl Glutamide, Isononyl Isononanoate, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Dibutyl Lauroyl Glutamide, Bis-Ethylhexyloxphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Ethyl Oleate, Myristica Fragrans (Nutmeg Extract), Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Etyl Stearate, Caprylic/Carpic Triglyceride, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Sprout Extract, Ethyl Linoleate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Caprylyl Glycol, Menthyl Pca, Tocopheryl Acetate, Parfum/ Fragrance.

How to use:

1. As the last step of your morning routine and during the day.

2. Nothing needs to go on top or beneath it so you can use it easily without being bothered to prep your skin.

3. To apply it, just open the lid and twist the wheel at the bottom to get more product to pop out.

4. Gently roll it on your face to cover all of it and protect it from the UV rays.

My Skin type: Acne prone, combination dry and oily.

The Face Shop Natural Sun Eco Clear Sunscreen Stick SPF50+ PA+++ Review:

As I mentioned, I have already tried a stick sunscreen. I really needed a bigger one yet this one is somehow even smaller; I HAVE LIP TINTS BIGGER THAN THIS!!!!! If anyone knows of a stick sunscreen that’s actually big please message me 🙂

OK so now that I’m done with the only bad thing about this stick, let me start by stating how amazing this tiny Lisa is. I know, I complained a lot about the size but thanks to it, it’s sooooo convenient and ACTUALLY portable.

That’s of course simple to say but hear me out. I am a person who’s always rushing. Even if I have nothing to be rushing for. I am not a person who’d happily go somewhere, wash my hands and apply sunscreen (don’t let be start about reapplying makeup), every one and a half hour!!!

When I first got this, I had to go to a class but I fit everything in my pockets and didn’t get a bag (advantage no.1: fits in your pocket with your huge phone✔).

Multiple times that day, I just had to reach my pocket to apply sunscreen (advantage no.2: easy to use✔), I even ran to catch a bus while using it and that says A LOT.

Texture-wise it feels like it melts as it touches the skin; aka the skin doesn’t get pulled while applying. Everything stays at its place (advantage no.3 no unexpected wrinkles✔).

Also, even though it’s tiny, a little really goes a long way; I think I’ll be using it for at least 2-3 months (I use a lot of sunscreen as you see), so that’s reassuring since this ended up being more expensive than my humongous 250 ml sunblock from Missha (advantage no.4 nice price to application ratio✔).

This product is supposed to have a citrus-y smell but to me it just smells like expired bug repellent (not really an advantage: smell isn’t long-lasting✔✔).

One disadvantage is that this isn’t an easy product to find (just like every cute thing The Face Shop sells ugh…), and nor is it an especially affordable one either but trust me, it is worth it.

I’d repurchase if they made one with another character on the package. I like the current one too, I just like variety more.

To finish this, I think I was lucky with this purchase; however, I can’t guarantee that everyone will like it. I recently read a review by a girl with UV ray allergy (ouch), and she hated it.

In case you’re thinking of purchasing it, it is worth it in my opinion (and The Face Shop has the whole line 50 percent off so you can skip the extra 10 euros I paid for it ;)).

Would I recommend this? Hell yes. There’s a different kind of swaginess when you pull your yellow colored, mermaid-lisa-printed-stick-sunscreen.

It’s SUPER convenient, cute, long-lasting, helps makeup stay intact. I wouldn’t ask for more. Except for a self-reapplying sunscreen. I’d pay a lot for that.

  1. Reading this review made me laugh like crazy for straight 10 minutes . You’re so witty! And self-reapplying sunscreen is a really good idea ! I want to try this but I don’t know whether it will work for me. I have combination skin with super oily t-zone and pores the size of craters.
