[REVIEW] The Plant Base Nature Solution Hydrating Bamboo Emulsion

The Plant Base Nature Solution Hydrating Bamboo Emulsion Review:

So I had been following this brand, The Plant Base, because they seemed so… nice. Then on an impulse I got this lotion! I’m not a lotion person. If you read my reviews here, or see my Instagram posts, you see that I barely own lotions or emulsions. And usually I don’t particularly like lotions.

I love a good lotion, but 95% of them aren’t fitting to my skin’s taste. So, this is a mainly natural brand, and the package was beautiful. I have used this lotion for one month after the summer, and one month now during the winter – making me able to test it in different situations.

Claims:

+ The brand claims that the main differences between them and other brands is that instead of refined water they use plant extracts. The others use chemical ingredients, these use natural ingredients. And, of course, they are free from harmful ingredients.

+ This emulsion is mildly moisturizing, rich in nutrition, gives elasticity to the skin and cares for the skin by reinforcing its barrier.

+ Recommended for all skin types and especially for people with dry skin, sensitive skin, and people who need extra elasticity.

How to use:

After cleansing and toning your face, apply the emulsion on your hands and spread it evenly on your face. Pat it gently until it absorbs.

My Skin Type: Combination, sensitive, aging, suffering from dry winter.

One of the things that attracted me to this product – even though I’m not even an emulsion person.

Balances the skin, moisturizes, anti-wrinkle. Uses bamboo water instead of purified water. 74% of the product is said bamboo extract water. Oh my, doesn’t it sound lovely!

The pump is also quite nice. It’s more hygienic and practical than a “flip around and shake your hand” type, and the pump’s exit is better than the Iope Moistgen one since it retains less residue after pumping.

This is how it behaves. It melts on the skin, and spreads so easily! It can easily be massaged into absorbed and leaves the skin moist and glistening.

It is light and not sticky at all. In fact, if I apply something sticky before (like a mask sheet) this helps get rid of that sticky feeling. Like when I apply soothing gel on my skin.

Talking about soothing gel, they are great for summer, right? But my skin in the winter suffers a lot from the dry cold weather. And this is like the ideal “soothing gel” for winter. It soothes and it takes care of sticky issues that may arise.

The scent reminds me a little of baby products, soft and – contrary to what I had expected before – not fresh. Just gentle.

So, how did it behave in the summer? Paired with an appropriate summer cream, it behaved like an ideal lotion to me.

And in the winter? The same, with a winter cream.

It’s one of those lotions that can really be used just with a toner and a cream and your skin will still feel happy.

You can see here after applying that my post-mask-sheet sebum under my eye is way less intense. The emulsion absorbed completely into the skin, and made it look plumper.

I must say I love this emulsion.

I rate it a 4.5/5 because the IOPE Moistgen one still beats it for when my skin needs age care, and the Swanicoco Bitamin C one beats it when my skin needs lightness.

But after many years of skin care it’s difficult to say which toners are the best for me, and when it comes to emulsions or lotions I was still able to place this one in the top 3, that’s how well it matches my skin.

I would definitely recommend you checking the brand out, especially if you walk into a store and get the chance to try it on your skin.
