[REVIEW] The Saem Saemmul Under Eye Maker | 01 Light Brown + Plumping White

The Saem Saemmul Under Eye Maker | 01 Light Brown + Plumping White Review:

Honestly this is just one of those things that I got when I walked in the store to get something else. I didn’t get it to get myself an “aegyo sal” (or cute puff under my eye) but because the brown color is my favorite color for my eyebrows and this ashy brown color is really difficult to come across here in Korea. So, the right color with a cute highlighter included! Count me in, especially for this price. But of course I did try it also as an under eye maker hehe.

How to use:

1. With the pencil liner, draw a line below the eye (around 5mm under the eye) and blend it gently.

2. With the highlighter, add some diamond sparkle between the line you drew and your eye, and blend it too.

My Skin Type:

Oily T, dry U, sensitive, blemishes easily, and allergic. Dry, sensitive and allergic lips. Very thin, dehydrated and oily eyelids.

Here I introduce to you the two stars of this magic pencil. The pencil itself, on top, very very soft. In fact, so soft you don’t have to sharpen it, if you want it sharp (although I don’t see why you would) then you can just do it by rubbing the pencil on your hand until it has the desired shape.

The other star is the diamond powder sponge! It has a small peak and that’s usually what I apply it with. If the white powder isn’t enough you can just close it and when you open it again it’ll have powder again.

The bottom part separates like this but I think it’s not for our usage, I think it’s because the brown pencil is the same in all colors so in the factory line they only have to change this part for a different powder color, instead of making a whole new pencil.

The brown color blends like so, and the white can be anything between that strong and that weak. I’m guessing the other colors also wiggle between the same amount of intensity.

I know it’s silly! But on top I explain how I lined it and on the bottom is the photo of what I actually did. I decided to make it myself since on the website their explanation photo is really bad, honestly.

On the left I applied the under eye maker and on the right I didn’t. You can apply it on a more obvious way, but since I have literally nothing there I thought if I applied it more it would be too obvious that I did it. Regardless, you can still see quite a difference, and the eye looks a little cuter in my opinion.

But this is not something I would bother doing every day, I have no time to breathe much less to add useless details to my makeup!

Yes, I didn’t fix my eyebrows before this photo. *blush* But as I said, I’ve been quite busy. This is how I usually apply the product! The pencil to fill in the spaces between my scarce eyebrow hair, and the white as an inner corner (and sometimes outer corner) highlighter. Since it has the two products conveniently placed in the same tiny pencil I think it’s very practical.

It doesn’t last the whole day, it lasts comfortably half the day (a little less intense than when I apply it) if I don’t go around touching my eyes. But I didn’t try using a makeup fixer since I don’t have one, who knows!

With this product I carry only a BB cushion, a lip tint, and an eyeliner pencil and can get full simple makeup. Did you know this pencil is so soft you can also use it as an eyeshadow? It has literally 4 uses: under eye maker, eyebrow pencil, eye shadow, and highlighter.

I will definitely purchase it again once I finish it, but probably in pink next for some variety!
