Verite Real Power Shine Up Mask Review:
It’s my first Verite product (yay!) and since I didn’t know the brand until this moment it was all very exciting and new. As a brand that’s part of Amore Pacific I have nothing but high expectations for it, especially since most of their brands haven’t failed me thus far! Of all the masks they have I was stuck between this one and a double step “one for morning one for night” mask, but I chose this one (I know you must all be disappointed) because I read a review on that one and I didn’t find much on these ones.
– Includes vitamin C in the essence, making it effective for enhancing the following:
- Improving stain, dullness, skin tone.
- Brilliance effect.
– White flower brightening complex (cherry blossom, lotus flower, lily).
– The mask sheet has a 3 layered cellulose sheet that allows the mask to be damp for a long time. (trademark for Amore Pacific three layered cellulose mask sheets)
– Good for night and day usage.
Purified Water, Butyleneglycol, Glycerin, Glycereth-26, Niacinamide, Dimethicone, Polysorbate 20, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate / Vpicopolymer, Polyacrylic Acid, Grapefruit Extract, Potassium Hydroxide, Ethylhexyl Glycerin, Cellulose Gum, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Hydroxypropylcyclodextrin, Cherry Extract, Lotus Extract, Glutathione, Lily Extract, Disodium Editha, Phenoxyethanol , Perfume
How to use:
1. Wash and tone the skin.
2. Apply the mask, avoiding the eyes and lips.
3. Leave it on for 10 to 20 minutes and then remove.
4. Pat the remaining essence until it absorbs.
My Skin Type: Oily T, dry U, sensitive, blemishes easily, and allergic.
Verite Real Power Shine Up Mask Review:
The pack opens easily, and it’s a relatively small pack for a mask sheet! Which I like because I hate wasting materials and also it fits in any travel pouch easily. You can even take it in your makeup pouch inside the airplane and treat your skin from all that horrible airplane airconditioning!
The mask sheet itself seems sufficiently full of essence, though not dripping all over, and is relatively thin (I think I tried this mask sheet cellulose formula before, I just can’t remember on which mask exactly)!
The fit is not great since it lifts on the folds instead of sticking together, but the adherence is good otherwise. It didn’t slide down at all while wearing it (which given my recent experiences is worthy of being mentioned).
Also I’m sorry for my ugly photo but it really is the only proto that shows the thickness (more like thinness) of the mask properly – and that’s a thickness I really like in a mask. Also, the eye and mouth holes are exactly the right size for me to feel comfortable so hurray!
The essence smells like cosmetics but I can’t put my finger on the specific smell. It’s not a smell of any specific ingredient, but it’s light and fresh. It doesn’t smell like aging skin cosmetics, nor like collagen based cosmetics. That’s the best I can describe it. For those who have tried Etude House’s Baobab collection, it’s similar.
The essence’s texture is light and it feels quite nice, not sticky at all during any of the moments for me to take these photos.
There is quite a lot of essence in the pouch so you can use it yourself or just make a second mask and wear it with someone, seriously, it’s a lot of essence.
The results were very satisfying for me! The pores are tight and firm, and my skin has a healthy glow (they did promise brilliance). There are no exaggerated dark or red spots on my skin so I guess their promises were generally correct! With the extra love for the hydration.
To put it short they kept their promises, the mask felt great while wearing it, and the results are better than anticipated. It was a very good first meeting with this brand, and I hope their other products are good like this! Definitely a repurchase item.
